How to: Tree

Here is a quick and easy way to make a tree.

You will need:

  1. Plastic plant
  2. Brown florist tape
  3. Wire cutters
  4. Knife

First, cut the branches from the plant. Next cut the stem little longer than you need, this will later become the tree’s trunk. Now expose some of the stem’s interior wire, just below the base of the tree’s trunk.

Now create the tree’s trunk by rolling the florist tape around the plastic stem, stopping at the trunk base.  The exposed wire can be pushed down into a foam terrain board.

And now you have a tree.

If you wish, you can create a base around the trunk wire, so that you can use it on a tabletop. This plant happened to have Autumn colors flocked on it. You can paint them to the color you wish.

Make sure you have adult supervision.
